Possible Regulation of Larval Juvenile Hormone Titers in Bombyx mori by BmFAMeT6

چکیده
Juvenile hormone (JH) plays a vital role in the growth, development, and reproduction of insects other arthropods. Previous experiments have suggested that BmFAMeT6 could affect duration silk moth’s larval stage. In this study, we established overexpression strain knockout using GAL4/UAS binary hybrid system CRISPR/Cas 9 system, respectively, found stage was shorter, while longer. Our results exhibited both JH titers BmKr-h1 levels larvae third instar were reduced significantly by overexpression, but increased obviously knockout. addition, injection farnesoic acid induced changes I II hemolymphs larvae. This study is first to directly reveal regulation insect relationship between (JH II). provides new perspective on regulating growth development such as Bombyx mori.

Microarray Analysis of the Juvenile Hormone Response in Larval Integument of the Silkworm, Bombyx mori
Juvenile hormone (JH) coordinates with 20-hydroxyecdysone (20E) to regulate larval growth and molting in insects. However, little is known about how this cooperative control is achieved during larval stages. Here, we induced silkworm superlarvae by applying the JH analogue (JHA) methoprene and used a microarray approach to survey the mRNA expression changes in response to JHA in the silkworm in...
متن کاملCharacterization of juvenile hormone epoxide hydrolase and related genes in the larval development of the silkworm Bombyx mori.
Juvenile hormone epoxide hydrolases (JHEHs) are a family of enzymes that hydrolyze juvenile hormones (JHs). They are important in terms of organ-specific regulation and irreversible degradation. In contrast to three JHEH genes (jheh) in Drosophila melanogaster and five jheh in Tribolium castaneum, only one jheh gene has been reported to date in lepidopteran insects. By searching a genome databa...
متن کاملDevelopmental regulation of glycolysis by 20-hydroxyecdysone and juvenile hormone in fat body tissues of the silkworm, Bombyx mori.
20-Hydroxyecdysone (20E) and juvenile hormone (JH) control a variety of physiological events during insect development and metamorphosis. To understand how 20E and JH developmentally regulate energy metabolism in insects, we performed a genome-wide microarray analysis of fat body tissues isolated from the silkworm, Bombyx mori. Many genes involved in energy metabolism, including genes in the gl...
متن کاملA mathematical model for the regulation of juvenile hormone titers.
The titer of juvenile hormone (JH) is determined by three factors: its rate of synthesis, its rate of degradation, and the degree to which JH is protected from degradation by binding to a diversity of JH-binding proteins. All three of these factors vary throughout the life history of an insect and contribute to variation in the JH titer. The relative importance of each of these factors in deter...
متن کاملPrecocious Metamorphosis in the Juvenile Hormone–Deficient Mutant of the Silkworm, Bombyx mori
Insect molting and metamorphosis are intricately governed by two hormones, ecdysteroids and juvenile hormones (JHs). JHs prevent precocious metamorphosis and allow the larva to undergo multiple rounds of molting until it attains the proper size for metamorphosis. In the silkworm, Bombyx mori, several "moltinism" mutations have been identified that exhibit variations in the number of larval molt...
